“Al-Manea” hosts a number of writers, poets and businessmen in the landmarks of “Al-Qasab”

Dr. Othman bin Abdulaziz Al-Manea hosted a group of writers, poets and businessmen in Al-Qasab City to exchange fraternal and literary conversations, and to visit the heritage and tourist attractions of the region.

In detail, a delegation of writers, poets and businessmen visited the Qasab and Mashash, to view their heritage monuments and their historical palaces. The delegation included businessman Khalid bin Nasser Al-Shathri, and Ghubaish bin Khalil Al-Khanfari, editor-in-chief of the Arab Camel magazine, general supervisor of the Qahtan Tribes Literary Forum, Editor-in-Chief of Qahtan Tribes Magazine, poet Hussein bin Jarallah Al-Hababi, poet Saleh bin Jaber Al-Shannan, and poet Ibrahim bin Saad bin Talha. And the poet Mishaal bin Marzouq bin Rajha, and a number of writers and businessmen.

The delegation was received by Dr. Othman Abdulaziz Al-Manea, his two sons Fahd and Asim, Dr. Ahmed Othman Al-Qasabi, Ibrahim Al-Manea, weather expert Abdulaziz Al-Hussaini, Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Muqhem, and Dr. Falah Al-Jawfan.

The delegation began the visit at the Al-Maqham Heritage Palace in Al-Mashash, and exchanged words and poems in the Palace Council, then ate lunch in the hospitality of Dr. Othman Al-Manea, after which the delegation went to the salting of the reeds, and watched the process of refining the salt, and they also enjoyed seeing the salt pans in nature, and they listened to a detailed explanation of the drying process. Salt water until it turns into a pure salt free from impurities.

After that, everyone went to the historic village of Al-Qasab, wandered around its buildings and markets, and visited the Al-Obeidi Heritage Market, which dates back to more than (250) years. They also visited the palace of Sheikh Judge Abdullah bin Abdul Wahhab Al-Zahim – may God have mercy on him – one of the most prominent scholars in the history of the Saudi state, and they viewed the historical monuments in the palace, and the most important historical letters and correspondences between the judge and the founding king Abdulaziz – may God rest his soul -. The delegation toured the palace, which was restored several years ago.

It is noteworthy that lovers of authentic heritage from inside and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia flock to visit the historic village of reeds, which is one of the most important historical monuments in Saudi Arabia, and the reed is also known as one of the largest natural salt resources in Saudi Arabia, which is exported abroad.
